#2 The time he horrendously failed a lie detector test
This hilarious incident occurred during Hulk Hogan’s time as Mr America, which began shortly after WrestleMania XIX back in 2003. While it was explicitly obvious that it was Hogan under the Mr America mask, thanks to the deliberately poor design by WWE’s costume department, the wrestler continued to deny his true identity whenever it was pointed out by his peers.
One fine day McMahon decided to call Hogan’s bluff, which he tried to do by storming on stage and menacingly question Mr America about his true identity. Dissatisfied by Hogan’s continuous denial, McMahon ordered a lie detector test on live television in an attempt to end the confusion once and for all.
When strapped to the machine, Mr America was asked if he was really Hulk Hogan and once again denied it, which went unchecked by the lie detector, much to the fury of McMahon who decided to take the test himself.
After McMahon passed a few random questions thrown at him by the interviewer, Hogan took over and asked the WWE CEO if he was the biggest a**hole on the planet, to which McMahon replied in the negative but was flagged as a lie by the machine, much to the CEO’s humiliation.
