Ambrose and Lesnar had a great build up to Wrestlemania

Again, rumors suggested a Rock vs Lesnar main event but the Hollywood star was contractually unable to commit to a main event match since he was shooting a movie. McMahon wanted Lesnar to main event since he is the biggest star of the company as he was paid a lot to be with the company.

The only problem was that Dean Ambrose wasn’t built up as a major star at that point. The match had the potential to steal the show but Ambrose was no Rock. Triple H on the other hand wanted his match against Reigns to main event. And he did.
