#3 Samoa Joe beats Rey Mysterio and retains the US Championship

Rey was clearly not 100% during his match against Joe

Maybe Mysterio's injury played a role in this and the match was not really the best that the two could have put together but the outcome was surely what always should have been. Samoa Joe has just recently got the title on his shoulder and it is important that he gets to keep it on him for a while to add to the momentum.

The match was probably not the biggest attraction in terms of the action and when you look at the two competitors you understand why WWE might have just lost out big time due to Rey's injury but at least the outcome was something that the fans would be happy with. Despite being a heel Samoa Joe garners a lot of support and following in the fans and his defense would go a long way in building it further.
