#2 Mike Tyson joins D Generation-X

This was one hell of a moment!
This was one hell of a moment!

D Generation-X was on their peak during the build-up to WrestleMania 14 with Triple H as the reigning WWF European champion and Shawn Michaels as the reigning WWF World Heavyweight Champion.

Michaels was set to defend his title against Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event of WM 14. In a shocking turn of events, DX recruited the world famous boxer Mike Tyson as the "special recruiter" for the main event match at Mania.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Tyson joining DX had a huge impact in creating interest in WWE's storylines, and at the same time grabbed the attention of media from all over the world. Tyson famously turned on DX at 'Mania, costing Michaels the match, and marking an end to his stint with DX.

#1 Kevin Owens joining The New Day

This was so much fun to watch!
This was so much fun to watch!

So this is the most recent occurrence of one such event. This past week on SmackDown in Montreal, Kevin Owens invited Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to his talk show, wherein he mentioned Big E's injury and his desire to join them for one night.

This led to a series of interesting and fun segments from KO eating pancakes backstage to doing Big E's work in New Day's entrance. It was fun to watch him enjoy out there with The New Day in front of his home crowd.

Though I was genuinely expecting him to turn on Kofi, leading him to challenge for the WWE Championship, that didn't happen. While this looked like a one-night deal, we have to wait and see what is next for KO and New Day!
