3.Faking with a Vengence
So, storyline wise- Kane started hearing voices that kept repeating the date ‘May 19th’. It was the date when his family was killed in a fire. But the source of that voice was conspicuous by their absence. But during a match against Shelton Benjamin, Kane and everybody else knew where the voices were coming from. A man dressed like 1997 kane came out, having the same, identical voice and choke slammed the real, unmasked Kane.
These two had a terrible match at Vengence. The man who played the imposter was Luke Gallows.
4.Sin Sin Cara Cara
Sin Cara’s time in the WWE was an utter botch. Everything he did evoked jokes and what not, for all the botches that happened.
The rotten cherry on top was that he failed WWE’s Wellness Policy and was out with a suspension.
So, Hunico filled his shoes and was doing quite well in that role, until the real Sin Cara. By then, imposter Sin Cara had turned heel. Real Sin Cara returned as face during heel’s match against Cody Rhodes.
Even though they had a few good matches and even though WWE tried to differentiate between them, this was a losing battle.
5.2 Stings
Like The Undertaker, Sting decided to take a break from wrestling. During ths break Eric Bischoff brought an impostor. The audience, in this case, believed it was the real Sting Steve Bordon. This continued for a few months. When the NWO came to the fore, Sting and Luger were their rivals. But once real Sting was out on a break, imposter Sting came and attacked Luger and fought for the NWO. When Real Sting returned he tried hard to make Luger believe that he was attacked by an impostor, which Luger refused to.
To prove his point, he took all NWO members out and then left neither joining WCW or the NWO. He became the loner and the silent badass that we’ve come to know.
