#4 WWE veteran The Big Show warned Kofi Kingston about The New Day
The New Day have established themselves as one of the top WWE teams of all time. However, it cannot be denied that Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods initially struggled to connect with WWE’s fans after they formed the group in 2014.

Prior to The New Day forming, Big E had a five-month reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion and Kingston had been on the verge of breaking into the main-event scene at one stage. Woods, however, had not been involved in any meaningful storylines on WWE’s main roster.
Speaking on Open Late with Complex in 2018, Big E recalled that The Big Show often told Kingston that he should focus on himself and ditch his tag team partners during the first few months of The New Day’s run.
“So when we were trying to get off the ground, Big Show would pull Kofi aside and say, ‘What are you doing with those two? They're bringing you down. You should be in the World Title picture.’ This isn't a time where it's like, ‘Oh Big Show, it's all fun and games.’ Like, we're struggling to get on TV and we're thinking we're gonna get fired.” [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
Woods added that, to The Big Show’s credit, he later acknowledged The New Day’s success and admitted that he was completely wrong to criticize the group in the way that he did.
