#3 Edge defeats Double J in his hometown

Edge won the Intercontinental title in his hometown, which some have speculated may have been an accident.

Edge may be one of WWE's most decorated Superstars, but there was a time when the future Hall of Famer had never tasted championship gold.

That all changed on June 24, 1999, during a house show in the Canadian's hometown of Toronto, Ontario. Answering the challenge of then Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett, the young rookie upset Jarrett to capture the title.

Though many believe this was to give fans a feel-good moment, conspiracy theorists have speculated that this wasn't the case, as Jarrett regained the title the very next night at Judgement Day.

Whatever the case may be, this would be just the first title in the Rated-R Superstar's trophy case, that would later include the United States, Tag Team, WWE and World Heavyweight Championships.
