By mid-2005, the real-life issues involving Matt Hardy, Edge, and Lita had become public knowledge, via the internet. Fans booed Lita on WWE TV even though she was a babyface at the time. Lita had been romantically involved with Matt Hardy for years, and fans were furious over the fact that she cheated on Matt with Edge. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
