#2. The previous Intercontinental design looked better than the current one
Cody Rhodes introduced the new design of the Intercontinental title in 2011, and it was exceptionally fabulous, to say the least. Interestingly, the title was also a re-introduction of the original IC title. Its structure arguably overshadowed the WWE Championship and looked like a title to fight for.
However, the design was entirely changed when Sami Zayn gifted a new one to Shinsuke Nakamura in 2019. Though the current layout is not awful, it isn't on the same level as the prestigious white belt.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
Vince McMahon's promotion could bring back the earlier design for the Intercontinental title because it is more prestigious and more visually pleasing.
#1. There is hardly any design as spectacular as The Big Gold Belt
If there's a title that one can fight for just because of how it looks, it is undoubtedly The Big Gold Belt. With a legacy stretching over several decades and promotions, the prestigious design was introduced in WWE as the World Heavyweight Championship.
The design essentially ruled the Ruthless Aggression Era with some all-time greats such as Edge, Batista, Undertaker, Triple H and John Cena holding it.
If the promotion ever decides to bring back any of its earlier title designs, the Big Gold Belt should be the first in line.
