Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero had captured the WWE Tag Team Championship at a No Way Out PPV event from the Bashams. After that, they successfully defended their title on numerous occasions. But at the WrestleMania, they faced each other which marked the beginning of the end of their friendship.

During the April episode of SmackDown, Guerrero refused to tag-in, which resulted in Mysterio taking a huge beating at the hands of MNM. They lost the title, and their friendship ended completely.

Both Guerrero and Mysterio were popular babyfaces back in the day and hence it was a shocker to the fans in attendance.

#2 The implosion of The Mega Powers

Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan

The Mega Powers was a tag team in the WCW and WWE consisting of the "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. They were managed by Miss Elizabeth, wife of Savage. Together, they had won a huge number of matches and were a force to be reckoned with.

During a match with the Twin Towers, Miss Elizabeth was knocked unconscious. Hogan carried her backstage, leaving Savage in the ring alone. This infuriated the Macho Man so much that when he met Hogan, he hit him with the title belt. Thus their friendship ended on a sour note.

The crowd were stunned by what had transpired as Hogan and Savage were the biggest babyfaces of the era. It was also during a phase when the internet was not big and the fans were left speculating on the future of the two legends.

Classic WWE twist.
