5 twists that could happen at Elimination Chamber 2018

Could The Undertaker and Cena meet in the Elimination Chamber?
Could The Undertaker and Cena meet in the Elimination Chamber?

We are on the road to WrestleMania! However, before we actually get to New Orleans, there are still two pit stops along the way. The first of these is a RAW-exclusive pay-per-view event called Elimination Chamber. It takes place on Sunday, February 25th and has massive WrestleMania 34 implications.

As much as we want to fast forward the action all the way to WrestleMania, bear in mind that Elimination Chamber will have long-term repercussions, upon the grandest stage of them all. We will outline 5 exciting situations in this article. Each of them has been labelled as a 'Twist', because well, these are extraordinary scenarios.

Mind you, these are all speculative scenarios only. So, get your creative hats on and let us know of any more twists that could happen, during this massive pay-per-view event.

Here are 5 ways that WWE can make Elimination Chamber a totally unforgettable event indeed.

#5 The Undertaker shows up to attack John Cena

This dream match is something everyone's been yearning for
This dream match is something everyone's been yearning for

Not very long ago, John Cena alluded to The Undertaker during a promo, when he kickstarted RAW. Speculation is rife that the two men are set to clash at WrestleMania 34. Could Elimination Chamber be the site where seeds of their feud are sown? Could The Undertaker show up inside the Elimination Chamber?

The Undertaker wouldn't even need a lock and key. He's a creature of magic and sorcery, and can just show up when the lights are turned off. It would be a great twist and a great way to get people talking.

The Undertaker vs. John Cena is a dream match that fans have yearned for, for a really long time now. Considering that neither man is in his prime, this could possibly be the last year when this match remains a real possibility and not just fantasy booking.

#4 Bayley joins Absolution

The time is right for Bayley to go heel
The time is right for Bayley to go heel

During Jim Cornette's recent RAW 25 review, he had one question for his co-host. He was curious to know what happened to Bayley on the main roster! Once dubbed the 'female John Cena', Mr Cornette was of the opinion that she was being used as little more than enhancement talent, these days. We echo Mr Cornette's sentiments.

Bayley really needs a change in character or at least a new feud to bite into, to stay relevant in the main roster. She has teased a feud with Sasha Banks over the past few weeks, and the common belief is that Banks will turn on Bayley. What if Bayley turns on Banks in the Elimination Chamber, and aligns herself with the Absolution faction, in the coming months?

With Paige out of active competition, Bayley could be just what the doctor ordered, in terms of a leader for the stable. Not only would it benefit her, it would also benefit the two NXT girls, who could gain from Bayley's experience and in-ring acumen.

Plus, this would be a great twist in the Elimination Chamber match.

#3 Braun Strowman breaks his pod and decimates everyone

Could we see another feat of strength from Braun Strowman?
Could we see another feat of strength from Braun Strowman?

Braun Strowman performs a different feat of strength, almost on a near-weekly basis. Why should an Elimination Chamber pod hold him back? We can totally imagine him breaking his pod, and emerging before time to take his competition out. Imagine the kind of pop this twist will receive from the crowd gathered in the arena.

Remember how Goldberg speared Jericho into a pod, at Summerslam 2003? If you don't, log on to the WWE Network and relive that moment. This suggestion could be just as powerful, in our opinion.

#2 Nia Jax breaks Asuka's streak

It wouldn't be like most victories...
It wouldn't be like most victories...

Now, this is a highly implausible scenario. However, considering that WWE sometimes does the unthinkable (Charlotte Flair's win streak being broken during a nondescript pay-per-view, Brock Lesnar defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, in a result nobody expected), Nia Jax may just beat Asuka at Elimination Chamber.

This is not a result that we're necessarily in favour of. Moreover, it's not an outcome that makes sense from a long-term perspective, especially with regard to booking Asuka as a beast. However, it can lead to various possibilities for WrestleMania.

It would certainly make Nia Jax's inclusion in the big WrestleMania match feel more interesting. The Bliss-Jax equation would also come to the forefront at a much grander stage. Moreover, it would be an outcome that no-one expects, and that's never a bad thing!

#1 Roman Reigns loses the Elimination Chamber match

Maybe the result we expect is but a rumour
Maybe the result we expect is but a rumour

Everyone expects Roman Reigns to win the Elimination Chamber and face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. What if the plan was never for Reigns to win here? There are many ways he could still get to the main event of WrestleMania, in the weeks that follow. Maybe Cena or Rollins pick up the win here.

There are so many things that could happen at Elimination Chamber. These 5 possibilities could turn the pay-per-view on its head and set the WWE Universe ablaze.

Join us for live coverage of RAW, this Monday night, the final stop before Elimination Chamber. So many things could happen, that could change the course of the pay-per-view.

Have a great weekend, dearest readers!
