#1. Big E's heel turn
WWE has a huge issue handling factions for the last decade. WWE ruined the Nexus, Straight Edge Society, and Sanity to name a few. The only two factions WWE managed to protect meanwhile are the Shield and the New Day. We have had enough articles about the Shield already so we are focusing on the New Day today.
The New Day was formed during the 2014-15 season. However, unlike Shield and other factions, New Day managed to stay together without even a single split for more than four years. That is a remarkable achievement in an era where stories are built on heel turns and backstabbings. The New day has turned heel and face during this course. The stable has won multiple tag team titles, became the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE History and now, Kofi Kingston is the WWE Champion.
There is nothing more New Day has to offer at the moment. Thus we could expect Big E to turn on Kofi Kingston, setting up a WWE Championship match between the two at SummerSlam 2019. There have been talks about a New Day split for quite a while now. A split in the New Day is a huge risk but can yield humongous reward if done right.
