#2. Carmella could soon be thrown into the WWE SmackDown Women's Title picture

After weeks of speculation and teasing, WWE finally revealed Carmella as the mystery woman on SmackDown, on the latest edition of the show. 2020 wasn't the best year for the former WWE Women's Champion.

Having previously won the WWE Women's Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017, which eventually led to her winning the SmackDown Women's Title, Carmella failed to win this year's ladder match and earn herself another guaranteed shot at the either of the women's championships.

And, while things weren't exactly going her way on SmackDown, the Princess of Staten Island eventually went on a hiatus, only to be brought back under a new gimmick.

In recent weeks, the WWE Universe was teased with multiple vignettes on SmackDown, leading up to the speculation that Carmella might return to the blue brand with a new character, and that turned out to be the case after all.

The former SD Women's Champion could be thrown right into the mix, along with the likes of reigning champion Bayley and her arch-rival Sasha Banks. And in these final two months of 2020, Carmella could once again prevail as a top contender for the SmackDown Women's Title.
