One of the things that can happen thanks to there being no live audience at WWE shows is that certain performers can be protected to an extent where they don't have to necessarily take bumps. So, while Samoa Joe may not be cleared to compete necessarily, he can still be a part of WWE storylines over the coming weeks.
Samoa Joe was a babyface not long ago and one has to say that he did a commendable job in the role. So, let's say that Drew McIntyre comes out on top against Seth Rollins and remains the WWE Champion, but Murphy decides to interfere in the post-match celebration and knock the Champion down.
Samoa Joe could leave the commentary position and even the odds for the Champion, letting the world know that he will not sit on the sidelines and let heels bully babyfaces. It would eventually lead to a situation where he could ask for his WWE Championship shot against Drew McIntyre.
Or it could also lead to a Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe feud, in the coming weeks.
