#1 Shawn Michaels vs Triple H vs John Cena
Survivor Series 2009 was about to see three of the best Superstars to ever enter a WWE ring face off against each other in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship.
Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE
The then-WWE Champion John Cena was in quite the conundrum, as he found himself facing not only Triple H but also HBK. Shawn Michaels and Triple H were united as D-Generation X during this time as well, which only added to his concerns.
The two were best friends, had put their past differences aside and had been creating chaos on the main roster together. Surely, they would work together to put John Cena out of action first before turning on each other?
That's possibly what both John Cena and Triple H thought, as did the WWE Universe.
Nope.
Shawn Michaels faced off against Cena and it looked like he would team with Triple H after all, as the two both focused on Cena. However, Michaels changed the game, by quite literally, kicking The Game out of the ring with a Superkick.
The resultant shock of the WWE Universe could not have been better portrayed on Cena's face.
The three went on to have a match that Cena was eventually able to win, but that Superkick remained the highlight of the night, and it was Michaels who had once again, stolen the show.
