#3: Booker T and Rob Van Dam worked surprisingly well as a tag team
In early 2004, Booker T and Rob Van Dam had common enemies. Both men were being targeted by Evolution, who took over RAW and held every championship on the RAW brand. But this would change the night Batista and Ric Flair defended the tag team gold against the unlikely duo. With outside interference from Mick Foley, RVD and Booker T capitalized and captured the World Tag Team titles.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
From that point on, Booker T and RVD became a dynamic duo. This unique team even successfully defended the titles at WrestleMania XX. However, while Booker T and RVD proved they gelled as a team, their reigns came to an end shortly after.
After losing the tag team titles back to Evolution, both Booker T and RVD received news that altered their careers. RVD learned he was getting drafted to SmackDown, thus disbanding his partnership with Booker T.
When Booker T was traded to SmackDown a little later, RVD wanted to keep teaming with Booker T, but RVD faced rejection. Booker T would also turn heel in the process, after not wanting to be part of SmackDown. RVD and Booker T eventually settled their differences in a match of their own, with Booker T coming out on top.
