#1: Batista and Rey Mysterio proved size doesn't matter as a tag team
2005 was a rough year for the WWE as they lost one of their top and beloved superstars, Eddie Guerrero. Eddie's tragic death made an impact on the entire professional wrestling community. It also brought wrestlers together. One particular pair that ended up becoming a tag team was Batista and Rey Mysterio. The relationship between the two began during SmackDown and RAW's collision at Survivor Series 2005.
While Batista and Mysterio were in a feud with Big Show and Kane from RAW, they also dedicated their tag team matches to Eddie. This unlikely duo would even win the WWE Tag Team Championships from MNM on SmackDown. Although Batista and Mysterio lost the titles back to MNM a couple of weeks later, they remained good friends.
Unfortunately, Batista had no choice but to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship to undergo surgery. Rey would go on to dedicate his Royal Rumble win to Eddie, ultimately winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22.
