Daniel Bryan put his WWE Championship on the line against Kevin Owens and Mustafa Ali in a triple threat match last Sunday

The WWE Championship is a title which Kevin Owens has never won in his career. He has won the Intercontinental title, the US title and even the Universal title but the WWE title has always escaped from Owens' hands.

He had tried to win the title at Fastlane 2018 in a six-pack challenge match also involving the champion AJ Styles, John Cena, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler. Owens could not win his maiden WWE title last year.

But, he once again found himself in the WWE Championship match in the year 2019. This time it was in a triple threat match also featuring the champion Daniel Bryan and Mustafa Ali. However, history repeated itself as Owens could not win the title despite being handed over a match by Vince McMahon himself.
