The Rock was on his way to becoming one of the biggest stars during the Attitude Era while The Undertaker had firmly established himself as one of the greatest stars. The Rock and The Undertaker were often seen going at each other's throats.

The fans were shocked when The Rock and The Undertaker joined forces to capture the tag team gold in 2000. They were even more surprised when The Rock and The Undertaker walked out with the Tag Team Titles. Their reign didn't last long as the duo dropped the Tag Team Titles to Edge and Christian the very next night on SmackDown.

#3 Bret Hart and Goldberg

When Bret Hart and Bill Goldberg are mentioned in the same breath it is often discussed how Goldberg ended Hart's career.

Bret and Goldberg were Tag Team Champions at one point in WCW. When they won the Tag Team Titles, Bret Hart already was the WCW Champion and Goldberg was on the verge of challenging him for the same. Their reign did not last long as the duo lost the Tag Team Titles the very next week to The Outsiders.

At Starrcade, Goldberg challenged Bret Hart for the WCW Championship. In the match, Goldberg connected with a kick that resulted in a severe concussion which led to Bret Hart to retire from pro wrestling.
