One of the best decisions WWE took in regards to McIntyre's career was letting him shine in NXT before putting him back on the main roster again.

During his stint down in developmental, McIntyre turned into a fan-favorite, and went on to defeat Bobby Roode to win the NXT Championship. He lost the title to Andrade, but had been established enough to be promoted to the main roster at that point.
McIntyre's 3MB run is something he wouldn't want to be mentioned ever again, with the trio suffering a bunch of embarrassing losses during their main roster stint. The biggest loss of them all would have to be against Brooklyn Brawler, who wasn't exactly known for winning big matches.
Brawler teamed up with The Miz and Alberto Del Rio at TLC 2012, and submitted Jinder Mahal to pick up the win for his team. This was just one of a long string of occasions where 3MB was used as enhancement talent against returning stars.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
