Earlier this year, Hangman Page and PAC were scheduled to face-off at the first official AEW PPV, Double Or Nothing, but the bout was called off due to creative differences between PAC and All Elite Wrestling.
Fans were anticipating the matchup between Page and PAC, as it would mark PAC's return to U.S. PPV since leaving WWE where he was relegated mostly to PPV Kickoff shows.
After the Double Or Nothing bout was cancelled, Hangman Page won the right to face Chris Jericho at All Out when Page won the Battle Royale match at Double Or Nothing, but he went on to lose at All Out.
PAC, meanwhile, faced Kenny Omega at All Out, and while the match was solid, it was not the classic many fans believed Omega and PAC could have.
Given the above, it would make sense for Page and PAC to interfere in the title match at Full Gear, allowing them to establish themselves as title contenders in AEW.
