In the midst of the couple becoming public, Del Rio and Paige both got busted for violating the Wellness Policy. The couple was suspended thirty days for their first offence.
Del Rio opted out of his WWE contract while rumours swirled around Paige’s future with the company. Paige has stated that she intended to stay with the company, but after a second Wellness Policy violation she lashed out at the company as did her family.
We can’t forget about the incident where Del Rio was attacked by a man with a knife. Del Rio is also embattled in a divorce battle with his current wife, which will delay the nuptials if they ever make it there.
Affleck and Lopez may not have been in as much trouble, but they made up for it with commercial flops. The couple postponed their wedding the day before it was set to take place because of the media attention it was getting. It was never rescheduled and the couple would split in January 2004.
