WWE need marquee matches for the SummerSlam PPV in August. SummerSlam is one of the biggest PPVs of the WWE calendar and unfortunately will be taking place behind closed doors due to the ongoing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. With SummerSlam behind closed doors and ratings for WWE RAW and SmackDown still on the lower side, the company need to build hype for their biggest show of the summer. And what better way to do it than have Rey Mysterio team up with Dominik on what would be his son’s in-ring debut in WWE.

With Mysterio recently feuding with Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy, we also have the perfect opponents for Rey and Dominik. If this is what WWE are planning, we could see it kick off on WWE RAW tonight with Dominik challenging Murphy and Seth Rollins to a match at SummerSlam against him and his father. With Mysterio still out with his ‘eye injury’, SummerSlam could also possibly be the day Mysterio returns to action.
