5 ways in which Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn can win at Clash of Champions

It will be a
It will be a "Do or Die" situation for these friends.

This Sunday is going to be a huge night for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as they fight for their livelihood at WWE. They have nothing to win but everything to lose, a situation which brings out the best in a wrestler.

In an earlier post, we discussed signs which indicate that Owens and Zayn are going to win come Sunday. However, there is always more than one way to reach the destination.

Here are the possible endings for the match.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#1 Daniel Bryan makes a mistake

Triple H missed Cena's foot on the bottom rope.

Daniel Bryan has rarely been a referee in a WWE match. It is possible that he makes a mistake in the heat of the moment.

Given that there are four competitors in the ring along with the other referee (Shane McMahon), it could turn out to be an ordeal for the leader of the “YES” movement to keep an eye on all the action going around him.

We have seen that even the experienced veterans like Triple H have made a mistake in such high pressured situation. The COO himself overlooked Cena’s foot on the rope and crowned CM Punk as the new WWE Champion.

#2 Shane McMahon interferes and Daniel Bryan retaliates

Shane is hell bent on getting Owens and Zayn fired.

Shane McMahon’s dislike towards Owens and Zayn is no news. He is the reason Daniel Bryan was forced to consider Owens and Zayn concerns about the impartiality in the match, and hence he declared himself as the additional referee along with Shane.

It is highly probable that Shane gets his hands on the Owens or Zayn forcing Bryan to retaliate. Given the “Viper” and Nakamura would also be present, the whole situation could get out of control, allowing Owens and Zayn to steal the victory.

This could further result in Daniel Bryan facing Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34 (check out the reasons).

#3 Daniel Bryan (unintentionally) favours Owens and Zayn

Cena had been in this tough spot in 2010.
Cena had been in this tough spot in 2010.

Let me take you back to Survivor Series 2010. Randy Orton was defending the WWE Championship against Wade Barett. John Cena was the special guest referee with the stipulation that he would be free (from being at Barett’s service) if Barett wins the match, but fired otherwise.

Cena tried to maintain his composure throughout the match. At the closing moments of the match, Barett pushed Cena and Cena pushed him back. However, the “pushed” Barett ran straight into the RKO resulting in his defeat (and Cena got fired, at least for a couple of weeks).

The same can happen at the Clash of Champions, with Randy Orton being at the receiving end this time. Considering all the possibilities, it will be interesting to see how this match unfolds come Sunday.

The teaser of the heel turn for the Money in the Bank holder has to lead somewhere and this Sunday could be the time to pull the trigger.

#4 By Disqualification, Bryan calling off the match due to outside interference

This will cause a disqualification come Sunday (and a win for Owens and Zayn).
This will cause a disqualification come Sunday (and a win for Owens and Zayn).

This is one of the possibilities. There would be a lot of emotions flowing into this match, and it is not strange if someone breaks a few rules.

Randy Orton and Shane McMahon both are on the top of this list. Chairs could very well be used to teach Owens and Zayn a lesson, which is not legal for use in the match.

As discussed earlier, it is likely that Shane will cause the interference. However, instead of retaliating, Daniel Bryan could consider Shane as an "outside interference" and award the match to Owens and Zayn.

#5 Owens and Zayn attack Shane McMahon

The last resort for Owens and Zayn.
The last resort for Owens and Zayn.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Who would know this better than Owens and Zayn at this juncture in WWE?

Shane McMahon is hell-bent on getting this duo fired. The duo would like to take matters into their own hands by attacking and taking out Shane McMahon before he could do any damage.

This could either be a backstage attack which might result in Shane McMahon returning in the ring during the match. Or the duo can place the attack during the match to take out the "Commissioner" for good.
