5 ways in which the WWE can book Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34

Everyone feels Roman will reign...but it is actually that simple?
WrestleMania 34 will be LIT!

All roads lead to Rome, goes the saying.

In the WWE however, all roads lead to the Roman Empire. And the one man who's most certainly going there is Brock Lesnar.

It's the worst-kept secret in pro wrestling today that Roman Reigns' grand coronation has been pencilled down for WrestleMania 34, where he would presumably slay the Beast and claim the throne.

But as we know only too well by now, even the proverbial torch-passing WrestleMania matches are subject to last-minute changes in the WWE. Absolutely nothing is written in stone until it actually transpires.

Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently

So while a victory for the Big Dog against the Beast Incarnate is a likely probability, it is far from a virtual certainty.

On that note, here are 5 possible finishes for the Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 34.

#1 Braun Strowman interferes

When Braun Strowman arrives, you can be certain of one thing: destruction
When Braun Strowman arrives, you can be certain of one thing: destruction

One man who's been enmeshed in the crosshairs of both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for a while now is WWE's resident wrecking machine, Braun Strowman.

The Monster Among Men has found competition otherwise hard to come by and — unsurprisingly — found his match against two of the other powerhouse alpha males in the WWE today.

And after being embroiled in a bruising rivalry against Roman Reigns and dominating Brock Lesnar, only to fall inexplicably short at the final hurdle, it's fair to say that Strowman has an axe to grind with both of them, too.

Add to that the fact that he's incredibly popular with the WWE Universe, and we have ourselves a potential scenario where he inserts himself into the equation to bring about a screwy finish to WrestleMania 34's main event.

#2 Brock Lesnar squashes Roman Reigns

Will the Beast continue its reign of terror over the WWE?
Will the Beast continue its reign of terror over the WWE?

What if the audience at the Mercedez Benz Superdome in New Orleans decide to "go rogue" and boo Roman Reigns out of the stadium?

It's happened on a few occasions already, with Royal Rumble 2015 especially jumping to mind because of the ferocity of the dissent.

Would the WWE and Vince McMahon want the grand coronation of their golden boy to be in such unfavourable ambiance?

But if that's the hand that they're dealt come WrestleMania 34, they may have to resort to drastic measures...like having Brock Lesnar squash Roman Reigns.

Although it sounds counter-intuitive, it would be a move that placates the audience with a Lesnar victory, while also giving the WWE plenty of room to build a narrative around how Reigns only lost because of the shock and awe element.

More importantly, it allows them to live to fight another day as far as the Big Dog is concerned.

The WWE executed a similar storyline once, masterfully, with the Lesnar and Goldberg feud.

And if needs must, they may have to do it again.

#3 Double disqualification

An opportunity to incorporate a few creative spots in the match...

If the WWE decides, for some reason, not to pull the trigger on putting Roman Reigns over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, a double disqualification could be one of the viable alternative endings that they employ.

It prevents both Superstars from taking a loss and you can still book a highly entertaining match, replete with table spots and fighting amidst the crowd in the lead up to the finish.

Yes, it would be a bummer if WrestleMania 34 closes out with a double disqualification, but we've seen much more bizarre occurrences at the Show.

#4 Roman Reigns destroys Brock Lesnar

Ideal case scenario for the WWE, this.

Brock Lesnar has been tried, tested to his limits and even been on the wrong end of a shock result. But what he hasn't been so far is toyed with and utterly demolished.

Everyone was shocked when he was defeated by Goldberg in record time. But he bounced right back to check him into Suplex City at WrestleMania 33.

He was threatened by Samoa Joe's fearlessness and willingness to resort to underhanded tactics to get the job done but ultimately prevailed when it counted.

He was even portrayed in a weak and vulnerable light while being ragdolled by Braun Strowman in the lead up to their match, but ended up pulling off the victory when it mattered the most.

Brock Lesnar has been — without doubt — booked as the single most powerful entity in the WWE today.

So imagine how strong Roman Reigns would look if he absolutely battered him from pillar to post at WrestleMania?

#5 Hard fought battle with Reigns victorious

Deja' Vu?
Roman Reigns spearing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, as Paul Heyman watches on

Of all the possible outcomes, this stands to be the most likely one as it's virtually a win-win for all parties involved.

Roman Reigns gets his grand coronation after being made to absolutely work for it. That kind of hustle is something that appeals to the audience too.

Brock Lesnar isn't made to look weak, meaning that the Beast can totally come back for seconds at a later point in time.

And the WWE Universe get to witness Brock Lesnar actually work a match, instead of the lazy German Suplex - F5 shtick he's taken to of later.

Remember, the first Lesnar - Reigns match at WrestleMania 31 was quite a riveting encounter.

And truth be told, there's no reason why their likely rematch three years on shouldn't be one as well.
