#4 Samoa Joe and Karrion Kross fight in an Unsanctioned Match
According to reports, up to this point former NXT Champion Samoa Joe has yet to be cleared for competition. After suffering a concussion in early 2020, he was moved to the commentary desk until everything cleared up.
We never got to see that come to pass as Joe was fired in April 2021. However, NXT hired him back almost immediately to work as an "associate" for NXT GM William Regal. There have been no reports of his health at this point. No updates on if he's allowed to compete.
NXT may decide to take advantage of this real-life situation to add some spice to his feud with Karrion Kross. Even if he is cleared, they're not going to tell us, and Joe is going to demand a match with Kross.
Regal won't be okay with that, considering Joe's injury history, leading to a special contract. NXT won't be held liable for whatever happens to either man, promising us a real war between two of the most dominant NXT Champions of all time.
#3 Karrion Kross loses the NXT Championship in another multi-man match
The NXT Champion bested four of the best competitors NXT ever introduced to their roster back at TakeOver: In Your House. Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Johnny Gargano, and Pete Dunne all failed to defeat Karrion Kross.
Considering Cole is still in the middle of a heated rivalry with O'Reilly and he's got personal beef with Joe, he's getting involved in this one. The same goes for O'Reilly, as he's claimed to be the one-on-one match that Kross has wanted all this time.
Joe, Kross, Cole, and O'Reilly could end up tearing the entire CWC apart leading to the next TakeOver event. At that point, it would be time for the NXT Champion to drop his title. With the WWE draft taking place in early October, it would leave just enough time for Kross to finish up with one final shot against whoever wins the four-way.
