After winning the coveted briefcase, Styles would have a legitamate reason to challenge Rollins without having to be classless about it. Since he is on RAW now, there would be little to no sense for him to cash in the briefcase for the WWE Championship – the flagship title of SmackDown Live.
Also, since AJ Styles is a face, cashing in the title at ‘any time’ or at ‘any place’ wouldn’t suit his character as that is mainly reserved for the heels.
So, Styles could announce his intention to cash in the contract at Extreme Rules. After which the feud could begin. At this point in time, both Styles and Rollins are faces and one of them will need to become a villain in order to make the storyline exciting and who better than Rollins to do it?
