Most were sceptical when Ronda Rousey announced her desire to become a WWE superstar. How could someone with no sports entertainment experience make a debut at WrestleMania, bypassing the NXT system? Shockingly, she was part of the best match on the whole card. And the rest, as they say, is WWE history!
So, now the biggest question remains. Rousey has proved that she can hang with the pros. What's the next chapter in her sports entertainment fairy tale?
We try and pick five ways in which that she can make a lasting impression following WrestleMania 34. Here's how her future could unfold...

#5 Long drawn feud with Asuka
Asuka may be one of the best performers in the current roster, man or woman. She's really nimble on her feet, tells great stories in the ring and makes her strikes look quite believable. She could be a great ring general against someone with limited experience in sports entertainment. In other words, she would tear up the screen with Ronda Rousey.
There are two reasons why this feud does not rank higher up this very list. The first is because neither woman is a good promo and this feud needs a mouth piece to really succeed. Secondly, Asuka's stock has dipped significantly since the streak ended.
There's a ready-made story to be told between the two women as well, going forward. Remember how Rousey had extended her hand to Asuka when the two women had met after the Women's Royal Rumble and Asuka had swatted it away immediately afterwards?
Asuka could turn heel following the end of her streak and have a fantastic feud with Rousey!
#4 Going after the new SmackDown Women's Champion- Carmella
Carmella became the first Miss Money in the Bank winner last year. She cashed in her contract on this week's episode of SmackDown Live, to the shock of the WWE Universe. There's always a possibility that Charlotte Flair may be brought back to RAW, so she is unable to reclaim her Championship. Another possibility- Rousey moves to SmackDown Live.
Granted, this will be a rare possibility. Rousey is, after all, a huge star and WWE likes to keep all their legitimate stars on RAW. However, RAW may just have enough star power with the possible arrival of Charlotte Flair.
There's no reason why Ronda Rousey would not go for the SmackDown Women's Champion, right off the bat! If anything, it would elevate Carmella and help her get some major mainstream recognition.
As cool as this program may be, we fear that it may not be 'glamorous' enough for WWE to book their hottest star in.
#3 Feud with the Riott Squad
The Riott Squad was brought up as bodies to be tossed out during the Women's Royal Rumble. Ever since they were brought up, they have floundered big time. The women are far too green and the programs for them have seemed quite half-baked.
Ronda Rousey could help them get their momentum back on track. All they would need is a full-fledged feud.
If Rousey is drafted to SmackDown Live or the Riott Squad is drafted to RAW, we may just see them go after one another. Rousey could destroy the stable much like 'Crow' Sting or Bill Goldberg did with the nWo in WCW.
It would certainly benefit the Riott Squad more than Ronda Rousey.
#2 At odds with Alexa Bliss
We know you're thinking that Nia Jax would visually be a better opponent for Ronda Rousey than Bliss would. However, right now we believe that it's far too soon to turn either of the women heel. Instead, Alexa Bliss could be the woman to feud with Ronda Rousey, in the months that follow. She could be Stephanie McMahon's new 'chosen one'.
Why this pairing makes sense is because Bliss is gold on the microphone. She could cover Rousey's shortcomings by carrying the load of the promos. She is a good seller and people love to see her get beaten by her babyface opponents.
As for Mickie James, Rousey could genuinely benefit from her experience. This is a program guaranteed to be successful.
#1 Charlotte Flair
Ronda Rousey is the greatest woman in UFC history. Charlotte Flair is the greatest woman in WWE history. A clash between the two would be a dream clash between two different worlds. Worlds that are similar and dissimilar as well!
We do not need to explain why people would pay to see these two women slug it out. It would be like the Tyson vs. Austin match-up during the Attitude Era. An encounter that nobody believed they would see and one that is impossible to predict beforehand.
That concludes our list for today. Of course, Sasha Banks and Sonya Deville are two women we left out, but we believe these are the best possibilities for right now.
