Two years ago, Rusev was in the line to become the next WWE Champion as his immense popularity among the fans helped him get a world title shot on SmackDown. When he made his return to RAW with a new look and challenged the Universal Champion Seth Rollins, it seemed like WWE had grand plans for The Bulgarian Brute.

But, much to the disappointment of the fans, Rusev could not stay in the upper mid-card for long as just hours after his return, he was greeted with an unwanted surprise from his wife, Lana. The Ravishing Russian aligned herself with Bobby Lashley, kickstarting an unending feud between The All Mighty and Rusev.

The heel Superstar has overcome the former United States Champion in all the matches that the duo have had thus far. Hence, this feud has done nothing but diminished Rusev’s credibility on the main roster. The fans know how much talent he possesses and seeing him lose week in and week out has broken their hearts.

Given that he has no momentum whatsoever on RAW, WWE could insert him in the 24/7 Championship picture in what would be a blessing in disguise for both Rusev and the title. Everyone knows about the sense of humor that the Bulgarian Brute has thus, he could join the race to win the title and steal the show on Monday Night RAW.
