#3. The contract isn't cashed in for a calendar year

One of the rules that has been noted regarding the Money in the Bank contract over the past 15 years is the fact that the winner only has a year to cash in. Of course, WWE stars are always in a rush to cash in the contract, with some even doing it on the same night, so this rule has never really been questioned.

Whilst Carmella was cutting it fine when she finally cashed in, there has never been a person able to reach the one year mark and then have their case taken away. Is the rule that it's taken away since a new Mr. Money in the Bank would be crowned so there couldn't be two at the same time?

It would be interesting to see if Otis is so torn between the options that he currently has with the contact that he isn't actually able to cash in within that window that WWE has given him, so there is a rule forced.

Would Otis be forced to cash in the contract at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, or would his contract become null and void?
