Looking at the success of the Men’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale, WWE launched the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royale at WrestleMania 34. Former SmackDown Women’s champion, Naomi won the first match while another Carmella won in 2019.

Given that WWE has a large bunch of female Superstars on their roster, they cannot fit everyone on the main matchcard. Thus, they organize this match on the kick-off show where all the Superstars who missed out on a match, get an opportunity to showcase their talent at the big stage.

As mentioned ahead, the enormous talent present on the Blue brand may prevent Carmella from having a singles match at WrestleMania. The Princess of Staten Island might find herself in the same match that she won last year. WWE would even use that angle to hype up the match as Carmella will be defending her trophy at this year’s event.
