Remember Alex Riley, the talented guy that used to run around with Miz and then was shelved for no apparent reason whatsoever? Well, Riley was released from his WWE contract this year but before that he was restricted to stay away from the ring and serve as a color commentator/analyst for two whole years.

Riley then had to come up with a #FreeRiley campaign on the internet to get back into the ring and but the damage had already been done. We don’t know what exactly happened in the case of Riley as there are many stories floating around, but at the same time, we cannot rule out the possibility of Cesaro being kept on the shelf like Riley now that he was made to sit as an analyst at Battleground.
