In early 2019, John Cena started dating Shay Shariatzadeh. Shariatzadeh works as a Program Manager at Microsoft.

Cena first met Shariatzadeh while filming his movie Playing With Fire in her home country, Canada. After falling in love with Shariatzadeh, the 16-time World Champion revealed that the movie will always have a special place in his heart.

"What’s truly special about this one is that, no matter what projects I’m involved in in the future, this one will always have a special meaning because I got to film a special project and meet someone special," Cena told Entertainment Tonight.

Cena and Shariatzadeh dated for a little over a year before they tied the knot in October 2020. The 44-year-old has also hinted that he might be ready to have kids with Shay.

"I’m a little bit older, a bit wiser. I’m realizing there is life and life exists and it’s beautiful — and I think part of that is being a parent, so we’ll see," Cena told The Sun.

Cena and Shay have attended several together in the past few months. 'The Leader of the Cenation' also briefly returned to WWE to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam. However, John Cena lost to The Tribal Chief.
