Did this on-screen romance ever become a real-life romance?

This isn’t one which has been confirmed outright but there are strong rumours of John Cena having hooked up with CM Punk’s current wife, AJ Lee. Lee has been romantically involved with a number of wrestlers during her tenure with the WWE including Cena himself.

Now, with her status as the wife of WWE’s public enemy number one, CM Punk, the company would very much like us to forget that this might have ever been a thing. Still, the rumours always persist that Cena and AJ’s on-screen romance might have made its way off-screen as well.
