When Seth Rollins betrayed Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, it came as a shocker to many, as fans were expecting Ambrose to be the one to switch sides. The heel turn helped Rollins become a breakout star and he went on to win the WWE World title at WrestleMania 31.

After tasting betrayal at the hands of Triple H himself, Rollins soon turned babyface and later defeated The Game at WrestleMania 33. The Shield reunited later that year to take on The Miz and The Bar. Over the next two years, the trio had several matches and became the best of friends again, barring a short-lived heel turn by Ambrose.

This rivalry can be dubbed as the biggest one of the PG Era, with Orton and Cena headlining PPVs one after the other, over the WWE title. There was a period in 2009 when these two men competed for the WWE title on four consecutive PPVs: SummerSlam, Breaking Point, Hell in a Cell, and Bragging Rights.

Orton soon separated from Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase, and defeated them in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 26. Orton as a face became a huge hit. Cena left WWE for a very short period of time, after helping Orton defeat Wade Barrett at Survivor Series 2010. On the next Raw, as he was leaving the arena, Cena was confronted by Orton, who shook his hand and embraced him in a heartwarming visual.
