I say yet another disappointment because Survivor Series has a habit of providing some of the worst memories for WWE fans over the years. Sure, there have been some really good moments as we discussed in this article here, but there have also been some head in hands instances.

You can follow Sportskeeda's live updates and coverage of Survivor Series 2017 right here.

So without any further ado, here is our list of the 5 worst moments in the history of WWE Survivor Series:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5 The Big Show replaces Daniel Bryan (Survivor Series 2013)

Well, this was terrible all around
Well, this was terrible all around

In 2013, the Yes Movement was on the up and everyone wanted to see Daniel Bryan get a shot at Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at WWE Survivor Series 2013. After all, Bryan had been screwed out of the belt just a few months prior by Triple H and The Authority.

But, it wasn't to be for D-Bry and the WWE Universe. Instead, we got The Big Show, of all people, challenging Orton for the title.

It was a terrible match regardless of the circumstances but with the WWE fans up in revolt, it turned out to be one of the worst of all-time.

#4 The Double Doink Debacle (Survivor Series 1993 and 1994)

Not a great time to be a WWE fan
Not a great time to be a WWE fan

As WWE headed towards the mid-1990s, the character and gimmick of the Doink the Clown was in the toilet. So, what did WWE decide to do for two straight years in 1993 and 1994? Absolutely torture professional wrestling fans.

First, in 1993, he had The Bushwhackers and Men on a Mission all dress up in Doink masks in a horrifyingly bad match against Bam Bam Bigelow, The Headshrinkers, and Bastion Booger.

If that wasn't bad enough, the following year saw The Royal Family - featuring Jerry "The King" Lawler and three midgets dressed up in royal outfits - go up against Clowns R Us - Doink and three midgets dressed as clowns.

What the hell, WWE?

#3 Vladimir Kozlov ruins the main event (Survivor Series 2008)

The man really couldn't wrestle
The man really couldn't wrestle

By the time WWE realised that Vladimir Kozlov couldn't' wrestle, it was already too late for WWE Survivor Series 2008. His performance at the pay-per-view was abysmal and eventually led to the demise of his WWE career.

I won't get into the specifics of this match because it's too utterly bizarre, but it's sufficient to know that his WWE Championship match against Triple H was an absolute trainwreck. Despite his best efforts, The Game just couldn't carry The Moscow Mauler to a decent match and it remains one of the worst matches in the history of Survivor Series.

#2 The Gobbledy Gooker (Survivor Series 1990)

Wow
Wow

In the build-up to WWE Survivor Series 1990, there was a hullabaloo about a huge announcement. It had been built up for weeks and months and the entire WWE Universe held its breath for the big payoff. Whatever could it be?

Things became a little weird when a large egg was revealed at ringside. Things became comical when a man dressed in a giant turkey costume emerged from said egg. This big reveal of The Gobbledy Gooker remains one of the sorest memories for longtime fans of professional wrestling.

#1 The Montreal Screwjob (Survivor Series 1997)

Vince screwed Bret
Vince screwed Bret

What else was it going to be, right? When then-WWE Champion Bret Hart announced that he had signed for WCW, he refused to drop the belt to Shawn Michaels at WWE Survivor Series 1998 in his hometown of Canada, instead agreeing to drop it the following night on Raw.

The WWE didn't want to risk Hart appearing on Nitro with the belt and orchestrated a scheme to screw The Hitman out of the belt. Towards the end of the match, Michaels locked Hart into the Sharpshooter and Vince instantly called for the bell even though Bret hadn't tapped.

It immediately created the most controversial moment in WWE history and it remains the worst moment in Survivor Series history twenty years down the line.
