Since performing at WWE's Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January, rap sensation Bad Bunny has become a staple of WWE television. Bad Bunny is a Billboard Music and Grammy award winner. He was also the most streamed artist on Spotify in 2020. Therefore, it's very obvious why WWE wants him to regularly appear on Monday Night RAW.
Since making his WWE debut in January, Bad Bunny has been embroiled in a feud with The Miz and John Morrison. After partnering up with Damian Priest on WWE television, Bad Bunny has won the 24/7 Championship and gotten physical with The Miz and John Morrison on several occasions.
This has led to The Miz challenging Bad Bunny to a match on the grandest stage of them all, to which Bad Bunny has accepted. This is your typical WrestleMania celebrity attraction match, which is sure to generate a ton of headlines in the mainstream press.
While the story makes sense, The Miz continues to be embarrassed by the WWE "outsider." There is so much potential to make this storyline even better. The Miz won the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber, defeating Drew McIntyre with an assist from Bobby Lashley. However, Miz lost the Championship 8 days later on Monday Night RAW.
WWE should leverage this short title reign for The Miz by emphasizing that The Miz could go from the pinnacle of WWE as WWE Champion, to rock bottom by losing to a rapper who has never competed in a WWE ring before.
This would generate real stakes in the match for The Miz and lead the WWE Universe to want to see the former WWE Champion hit rock bottom.
