CM Punk appeared during John Cena's Chicago inspired entrance at WrestleMania 22

Former WWE Champion CM Punk has had a serious amount of success at WrestleMania events over the years. CM Punk won back-to-back Money in the Bank ladder matches and retained the WWE Championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Punk also faced off against high-profile opponents such as Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, and The Undertaker at WrestleMania during his WWE career. However, CM Punk actually made his unofficial WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania 22 in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

The main event of WrestleMania 22 featured John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Triple H. Before the match, Cena made a visually incredible WrestleMania-worthy entrance.

John Cena participated in a Chicago-inspired gangster entrance. The WWE Champion entered the All State Arena dressed as a Mafia boss and carrying a trademark early 20th century Tommy Gun in his hands.

Furthermore, a vintage Prohibition style vehicle also entered the All State Arena with more gangsters hanging onto the sides. One of the gangsters was none-other than CM Punk.

At the time, CM Punk was signed to a developmental deal and was competing in WWE's developmental territory OVW. However, Punk would make his WrestleMania debut 12 months later in the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23.
