WrestleMania is nearly upon us and it looks very likely that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will be the main event. Although a lot of fans would rather not see this again, it has apparently been planned all year.
The Roman Reigns mega push is showing no signs of stopping. Could there be some other options if the WWE creative team wanted to make a last minute change to please the fans?
Here we look at five alternatives that the WWE universe would probably rather see.
#5 Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman
For a big part of the year, Braun Strowman has narrowly missed out on winning the Universal title several times.
Strowman has shown he is more than a match for the Beast Incarnate and has manhandled him almost every time they have met in the ring. At the Royal Rumble, after Brock pinned Kane, Strowman was left in the ring screaming 'You didn't beat me'.
This would lead you to believe that sooner or later Strowman will get the better of Brock, and fans would probably rather see this than Reigns vs Lesnar.
#4 Brock Lesnar vs Finn Balor
One of these days, Finn Balor will have to be in contention for the title he never lost.
Finn was the first ever Universal Champion but had to vacate the title due to injury in a devastating turn of events for the Irishman.
It is widely rumoured that the WWE had Balor vs Lesnar locked in for the Royal Rumble match but Vince thought Balor was not 'over enough'
There is no doubt, however, that the fans love Balor, and he could steal the show against Lesnar much like Styles did at Survivor Series. One thing is for sure - the majority of fans would rather see this than Reigns vs Lesnar again.
#3 Brock Lesnar vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Although Nakumura vs Styles is sure to steal the show, The Artist vs The Beast would be a dream match in its own right.
Nakamura and Lesnar also have a history together, having competed in some show stealers back in their days at IWGP. These matches were hard hitting and intense and very fitting of a 'Mania main event.
It won't happen, but if Nakamura did shock the world and chose to challenge Lesnar instead of Styles, this match would have been better received by a lot of fans.
#2 Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan
This one would be a true tale of David vs Goliath.
Daniel Bryan is expected by many to one day make his way back to a WWE ring as an in-ring competitor, and the day he does, you can expect one of the most thunderous ovations you have ever heard.
Bryan's technical ability against Lesnar's pure brutal style would be an epic story to tell, and Bryan has always been famed to overcome the odds. If he returned to take on the Beast, it would truly be must see TV and a main event the WWE fans would sell out arenas for.
#1 Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs The Undertaker
Just because the thought of Reigns vs Lesnar might be a bit underwhelming, it does not mean 'The Big Dog' can not be part of something epic; his in-ring work is very solid and he has put on some great matches.
This one would be a true story of redemption and a great way to close the Undertaker's storied career.
The story hear would be The Undertaker having one last chance to defeat the two men that beat him at WrestleMania; he could win the Universal title, and then leave it in the ring before saying his last goodbye, having proved he is indeed the Phenom. He could do it with a win against the two men that humbled him on the grandest stage of them all.
