At WrestleMania 22, Mickie James and Trish Stratus were set to blow off an era-defining rivalry. The two women's wrestling icons had a feud that would define their careers. It was also seen as the biggest women's match in 'Mania history at the time.

The two superstars set out to make a name for themselves at 'Mania 22. They were meant to end their feud gloriously in a match that would put women's wrestling on the map. In large part, they accomplished the great match part.

Despite the bout's greatness, it'll always be remembered for the odd way it ended. It was so bizarre that it basically overshadowed the entire match.

James reversed a back suplex during the match's final stretch by grabbing Stratus down south. Mickie then went onto make, let's say, a lewd gesture with her hand and mouth. She then botched a Stratisfaction onto Trish before finally putting her away with the Chick Kick.

The ending is so weird that WWE has edited out much of the original finish from their video archive. It's too bad for all involved that history doesn't forget so easily.
