#1 Edge vs. Randy Orton - w/ Special Referee Mick Foley

Will their first match be the end of their rivalry?

Edge and Randy Orton have been the best of friends and the worst of enemies in WWE. Before Edge retired in 2011, the two men had a team called Rated RKO that took over WWE for quite some time.

Edge made a shocking return to wrestling during the 2020 Royal Rumble, almost nine years after retiring due to a neck injury. During the match, he came face to face against Orton and the two men first worked together before Edge eliminated Orton, and then, things went downhill from there.

Orton attacked Edge on the RAW after the event, and almost ended his career once again in the process. Later on, The Viper went as far as to attack Matt Hardy who came out in defense of Edge and followed it up with an attack on Beth Pheonix - Edge's wife.

Edge has now laid down the challenge to Orton for a match at WrestleMania 36, and The Viper will likely accept the challenge.

However, The Rated-R Superstar mentioned how Mick Foley played an integral role in both men’s development, and how Edge took the right path, while Orton did not.

With that in mind, we could watch Orton accept the challenge and pick Foley to be the Special Guest Referee for their clash in order to see who Foley believed in more.

Both men have had great rivalries with Foley in the past, and his addition to their WrestleMania bout would increase the hype around the event.
