Dave Batista was already older than a lot of the wrestlers when he debuted in the WWE. However, his bulky appearance and ability to work helped him become a massive star in wrestling, and now in the movie world too. Batista's 3 year push to the top had Triple H all over it.

Batista was brought in to be the muscle man for heel stable, Evolution. This stable had Ric Flair, Randy Orton and leader Triple H. The stable become one of the biggest things on the Raw brand, holding all the belts available. After Orton's expulsion from the group, it was obvious that Batista is going to break out on his own soon. These thoughts started to get weight behind them after his individual push began.

His win at the 2005 Royal Rumble all but assured a match against Triple H at WrestleMania 21. He won this match, and Triple H did all that he could to establish Batista as a massive threat to his tyrannical reign on top of the card. The rivalry stretched beyond WrestleMania but still had Batista as a clear winner. Batista became a massive star after this and stayed so until his departure in 2010.
