Roman Reigns has been the successor to John Cena in many ways. They feuded with each other at No Mercy last year, where Cena put over Roman Reigns, but I suspect that it is not the end of the feud between these two larger than life superstars.

Cena is at a later stage of his career and has been working as a part-timer for more than a year, and has started a career in acting.

John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and achieved everything there is to offer in WWE. WWE and Vince McMahon might like to give John one final run as champion, and later have Roman winning it back at Wrestlemania. This can be a perfect farewell to an illustrious career.
