It's clearly not working for Jinder Mahal. He just doesn't have the audience's support to establish himself as an upper card wrestler in WWE. WWE tried all the ways possible to push Mahal at the top of the helm, even granting him victories against Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton while he had the WWE Championship belt. It just didn't work.

Jinder Mahal isn't that bad in the ring and his mic skills are decent enough to help him make it big in the Independent circuits. Jinder Mahal with his tight physique can definitely establish himself as a main event wrestler outside.
