John Cena proposed to Nikki Bella back at WrestleMania 33

John Cena and Nikki Bella were once the biggest power couple in WWE. The duo began dating back in 2012 before they were officially made a public item the following year when Total Divas made its debut on E!

Throughout the relationship, Bella made it clear that she wanted to marry Cena and have children, something that the 16-time World Champion wasn't on board with since he wanted to concentrate on his career and didn't have any plans to make a family.

Their differing opinions on their future came between them a number of times but it seemed that they had been able to put all of that behind them when John Cena got down on one knee following their victory over The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33 and asked Nikki to marry him.

Less than a year later Nikki released a statement on Instagram which stated that the couple had decided to go their separate ways after months of back and forth ahead of what was supposed to be their wedding day. As of writing both Nikki and John have moved onto new relationships but have seemingly still remained friends.
