Paige and Alberto Del Rio didn't make it down the aisle

Paige is a former Divas Champion as well as holding the unique accolade of being the first-ever NXT Women's Champion, but following a neck injury back in 2016, her career took a dramatic turn.

The British star was suspended from WWE on her Birthday after failing a Wellness test, alongside her boyfriend at the time Alberto Del Rio. The Mexican star later negotiated his release from the company, whilst Paige was suspended for a second time and looked to have gone completely off the rails.

Del Rio headed over to WWC in Puerto Rico where he was wrestling at the time following his WWE release a month before, and it appears that he took Paige along for the ride. The former Champion came out to the ring following Del Rio's match and got down on one knee to ask her boyfriend if he would spend the rest of his life with her, to which he obviously said yes.

Paige and Del Rio were scheduled to marry in 2017, but a number of things didn't go to plan which caused a rift between the couple and later led to their split. Paige returned to WWE later that year and has since moved on to a new healthier relationship.
