Former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders will now be out indefinitely as Ivar suffered a cervical injury on the September 7th episode of RAW when attempting a Viking Dive.

While there is still no clear diagnosis on how long Ivar will be out for, Dave Meltzer revealed on the Wrestling Observer Radio that his injury could be worse than what WWE had anticipated:

Cody has no chance against John Cena? Details HERE

Nothing is for sure, but it has not been determined whether or not he will need surgery. It’s a significant injury. Once you say that, it tells you that it’s just not like a stinger where you’re gonna come back in two weeks. It’s probably a lot worse than that. So, it’s not determined yet, but it’s absolutely as of today a possibility.”

We hope this isn't true because it would be a big loss to the WWE Tag Team division and unfortunate for Ivar as well. It's all a part of the risk in wrestling, but it's always sad to see someone get injured.
