#5. Hope isn't true: Why WWE is bringing back 'Stone Cold' for the RAW MSG episode
We don't get to see 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in WWE that often these days. His last appearance was naturally for the RAW Reunion, where he led the charge in the ring full of legends, giving out a toast to the years gone by.
He's going to have a rather quick turnaround. WWE is returning to Madison Square Garden this September 9th and 10th for RAW and SmackDown Live. It was announced that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin would be appearing for RAW as well and he responded.
However, the reason behind him returning is not a very flattering one to WWE, according to Mike Johnson on PWInsider Elite. According to Johnson, the reason why Austin is being brought back is because they're yet to sell out both shows. They want to have as many special attractions as possible, which is why they are bringing back the Texas Rattlesnake.
While we don't blame WWE, it's not a particularly good sign that they're not able to sell out their big return to MSG for a televised show. September has been a historically bad month for WWE attendance.
