#4. AEW TNT Champion Miro (Rusev in WWE)

AEW TNT Champion Miro (F.K.A. Rusev in WWE) was born in Bulgaria in December 1984. He grew up in his native country before emigrating to the United States in 2005 to chase his pro wrestling dreams.

The 36-year-old has been living in the United States for 16 years now. In 2016, Miro married fellow WWE Superstar Lana, who is an American citizen. He obtained United States citizenship in 2019.

In an interview with The Pop Break, the former WWE US Champion revealed what obtaining U.S. citizenship meant to him:

"Oh, it's my biggest accomplishment in life. I've always admired the United States of America growing up. Call it brainwashing, call it destiny, call it whatever—I knew one day I was going to come here. Just to be able to be called a US Citizen here in America, it's the proudest thing I can probably say that I've achieved," Miro said.

Like the United States, Bulgaria permits dual citizenship for native-born citizens, which allows Miro to keep his Bulgarian passport after obtaining U.S. citizenship.

The current AEW TNT Champion has been undefeated since last April. Miro recently defeated Fuego Del Sol in an AEW TNT Championship match on Rampage.
