#2. WWE and AEW veteran Chris Jericho
Former WWE and current AEW star Chris Jericho has Canadian parents. However, the 50-year-old wrestler was born in the United States.
Jericho's father is Ted Irvine, a former NHL hockey player. While he was playing for the New York Rangers, the former WWE Superstar was born. Following Irvine's retirement, he moved with his family back to Canada, where Jericho grew up.
After graduating from college, Jericho left his family's home to pursue a pro wrestling career. He eventually returned to the United States, where he competed in several promotions, including WCW, ECW, WWE, and lately AEW.
While Canada is Jericho's native country, he obtained U.S. citizenship by birthright because he was born on American soil. He spoke about having dual citizenship during his appearance on The Tonight Show in 2011. Asked about participating in an American Night themed episode of Dancing with the Stars, he said:
"Well, I’m actually a dual citizen, so yeah, I’m an American as well. I have an American passport and a Canadian passport, so I’m OK if it’s American week. Or if they want to do Canadian week, I’m there for either one. I’ll ride each side of the fence if I have to!" Jericho said.
Chris Jericho recently teamed up with Jack Hager to face Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky on AEW Rampage: Grand Slam. Nonetheless, Jericho and his partner lost the match.
